Greetings and salutations kind reader! If you clicked here, then you clearly wanted to know more about me. I am honored and flattered by your curiosity. The baseline basics: my name is Shana DuBois and I am an extreme bibliophile.
I love anything and everything having to do with books and reading. My true joys are genre literature: Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction; but will give most anything a chance to capture my imagination. Generally speaking, I love the weird, dark, and twisted. Stories that make me think and contain things that go bump in the night.
As a veteran of the Marine Corps I had some amazing experiences and saw some beautiful places, Japan, Korea, and Thailand to name a few. My love of books never waned, no matter my circumstances, and I had to submit special requests through my Chain of Command to get extra book cases in my barracks room.
I have lived in a lot of places, worked a slew of different jobs, and tried to live life to the fullest. My goal with this blog is pretty simple: I want to share my passion for books and the written word.
I started working towards my M.A. in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Writing. I find it is a wonderful excuse to buy more books, talk about books, and generally be around and involved in all things relating to books and writing. I see no down side to any of those things.
